App said it scanned and recognized text. Chose "copy to clipboard" but then nothing there to paste into anything. Waste of time.

Says it might take up to a minute. Just waited 2+ minutes with a spinning circle. Sounds like app should say "you could wait up to 3/4/? minutes"?
I downloaded the app and tried it on the same day... After taking 2 pictures and having no text show up I uninstalled the app.
Not sure I noticed this but you get only 5 pages of ocr to recognize the text so only got 2 pages of the 5 that were useable The two were great! and all-be-it I will not use it often, it does work. thankfully the 5 -3 = 2 was free
I downloaded the trial version. It offers 5 scans, then each scan is $1. I made the first scan, qnd emailed it. It was completely blank except for the subject. My Scan. I then scanned a second page. About 30 % was garbled. I decided to try another. But the message was that I had used 5 credits. The price of $1 a page seems quite excessive in relation to the quality and depenabilty.
Maybe the problem of the app working perfectly and then completely going to gibberish is being fixed. I am hoping that it will be repaired until then just want to mention that it is problematic. I hope to report back that all is well
Trend numerous times but it did not convert. Now Im trying again and it wants me to buy more credits. No other options. Just an awful app. Very disappointed.
My app only allowed perform 5 free scans ever - then insists you buy more. Saying 5 free daily is misleading at best.
Extremely helpful
Mobile OCR allows me to scan pdf and convert to text which I can copy to Pages, etc. Formatting initially disappears, but reappears when the text is copied and pasted into word processing app. I have tried it with some very challenging formatting and text styles, including italics and small print. It handled all very well. It does require wifi to convert text. Only negative is that the 5 daily credits do not seem to replenish, so it is not very useful as a free app (unless you uninstall and reinstall after 5 scans). However, unlimited scans seem to be a great investment. Customer support responded quickly and generously to my inquiry about their guarantee.
The first test of a couple paragraphs of German text from a low resolution scan seemed to work really well, giving far better accuracy than a few other apps that I tried. It appeared to have lost the formatting but emailing it to myself, the formatting returned. However, a second test of longer text in English simply gave nothing. No gibberish, just nothing. Running the same image, still loaded, again still gave nothing but took off another "point" from the available usages. About the business model, if I buy software, I expect to have purchased it to use as needed but this company requires payment for each run of the OCR. If you have many scans to do and unlimited funds, this may be the way to go but not for me. Its rather an absurd way of doing things!
I only tried the free version, but it seemed to work. Had to take a very clear & straight photo of text & crop it in photo app first. But it was an old ichthyology text & captured all the words perfectly, so that is something! Saved me from manually handtyping (transcribing). Will probably buy full version.
Out of my five free scans, one resulted in an error; retried the same image and got good text. One other try resulted in good results. Holding on to my last two free scans for something important.
It only let me do 4 then hosed up on the 5th scan. I can come back daily or weekly and it still says I have no free one to use. Stuck on saying I have 0/5
Complete waste of time!
I didnt even test this apps OCR abilities because it only gives 5 free OCR scans a day which is useless. Although its OCR abilities is probably horrible since out of a dozen apps Ive only been able to find one that can detect even clear text from an image.
Ive tried a lot of these apps. Most dont work well, or at all. This one seems to be pretty reliable. It performs about as well as OCR apps costing many time the price.
It doesnt work. Either I get nothing or I get garbage. Disappointed.
You get limited usage of the app unless you buy more service, I hate come ons!
